We have been paying it forward since July 2017. To celebrate the commencement of 2019 we have listed our achievements at the shop to date………

Not only have we succeeded in our PAY IT FORWARD initiative supporting families facing trauma at our shop thanks to our customers passing on their stamped receipts to those that need it, but we have also been successful in topping up funds in our NGO Survivors Malta bank account from 0 to €4,000 in less than a year and a half from opening our doors. Money that will be utilised to help fund our projects  ….

Jacob’s Coffee Run has been successfully running throughout 2018 and we promise that we will continue to deliver free sandwiches and coffee to the families in the ITU (Intensive Therapy Unit) waiting area at Mater Dei Hospital for years to come ☕️

In 2018 we were finally granted the permits for The Reunited Pet Cabin to be built at the Hospital. Ground works have been done and 2019 should see the projects completion paving the pathway for pet visitation and pet therapy to finally be recognised and implemented at Mater Dei Hospital 🐕

Craft&Coffee For Charity has grown from strength to strength in it’s first year bringing joy to countless people through their craft thanks to wool donations dropped off at our shop 🧶

The shelves of our open library at the shop The Tessie Montebello Book Club have not only been replenished time and time again by our loyal patrons who swap and donate books for all to read, but we were also able to help another book charity The Cherry Tree Bookswap raise funds to help other NGO’s too 📚

This Christmas we not only helped hoard food yet again for the Help feed a family this Christmas campaign, but also successfully collect food donations by our generous patrons for the Marsascala Parish Church 😊

2018 also saw us receive a letter from HRH Queen Elizabeth! We also were presented the Commonwealth Points Of Light Award in March and In December with the Agape International Award for the philanthropical work that we do through our NGO Survivors Malta and initiatives coming out of our little coffee shop with a big ♥️

Last year we also hosted challenged school students who would spend time with us to boost their morale and self esteem; an initiative that we will be pursuing in 2019 which we will call The Apron Club 👫

Another project that we will be looking into this year will be an initiative enforcing social inclusion for youths with challenges through one to one friendships. Best Buddies exists worldwide. Our goal is to plant the seed for it to exist here in Malta 🇲🇹

So as you can see we had a very productive 2018 and in 2019 our family will continue on our mission to PAY IT FORWARD to families that need it. Of course we succeed in all that we do thanks to YOU our loyal customer. YOU choose to walk through our doors to have that friendly cuppa. THANK YOU  for believing in all that we do and for helping us to help others throughout the year proving that we can all make a difference 😊
