Pride of place up on our wall at the shop, right next to our treasured letter from the Queen, hangs our framed COMMONWEALTH POINTS OF LIGHT AWARD.
Winning this award in March 2018 has been very significant to us as it not only acknowledges our dedication and our passion to help others, but it also holds testimony to the fact that together we can make a difference with the combined efforts of all the wonderful people who have crossed our paths along our journey and indeed day in day out choose to walk through our doors here at Jacob’s Brew. Amazing people who have supported us throughout, always believing in all that we do ♥️
We have kept our promise to put right what was missing when we faced our own family trauma 5 years ago in 2013. Back then we were told that everything happens for a reason. When we survived our ordeal we were determined to make that reason.
All that we do does not come without personal and financial sacrifice and there have been times when it would have been easier to just give up, but receiving this award not only has given credibility to our NGO Survivors Malta as an organisation and ultimately to our little coffee shop with a heart, Jacob’s Brew; It is also a reminder to us that we are on the right track and we will continue to pursue on our mission to initiate future projects to help families facing trauma. Watch this space and be prepared to be inspired ….. 😊
