I tell myself each and every day BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND OTHERS WILL BELIEVE IN YOU and I live by the rule that YOU FAIL IF YOU DON’T TRY. Something I told myself a few years back when I took the decision together with my family to open Jacob’s Brew – Pay It Forward … and we all know how that turned out!
So now here we are the proud recipients of the Malta Social Impact PEOPLES CHOICE Award and along with this honour comes a €1000 cash prize to be donated to our NGO Survivors Malta, together with a crowd funding campaign and mentoring sessions with ‘Take Off’ (a department at the university designated to aid entrepreneurs to reach their full potential)
Needless to say that for my family the biggest prize of all, far exceeding any monetary fund, is knowing that the public and ultimately our loyal patrons that walk through our doors believe in us and all that we do.
This award gives us CLARITY and RECOGNITION and strengthens the fact that we keep our promises and will continue to do so!!
And how can we thank YOU all for this honour?! Words are simply not enough!! By doing what we do best, putting the money to good use to kick start a crowd funding campaign to help us take our existing initiative Jacob’s Coffee Run to the next level; out on the road reaching out to those that cannot come to us, delivering HOPE, MOTIVATION and INSPIRATION not just to the ITU waiting area at Mater Dei Hospital, but to other institutions all over the Island, whilst also providing a service to the community giving them a chance to buy that socially conscious coffee that will make a difference to so many lives, enabling us to continue to pay it forward for years to come!
